In the 2D animation project Hope, my role was as a repairing storyteller, assistant,in-betweener and clean-up, working to express heightened emotions and reactions in the characters.

This is part of the storyboard for the Hope project, where the editor asked me to come up with ideas on how to convey the message visually without using dialogue in a short timeframe. As a result, some rough sketches were created and approved for inclusion in the project.
This was the very first simple animation assigned by the editor, where I only needed to make the character move slightly.

I was asked to design a female character for the story. The editor requested a simple design to portray the character as the possible cause of destruction in the narrative. However, my design was accepted because it had a unique touch, especially in how I used colors and a design style that subtly mirrored the male character in the Hope project.
This is a scene where I needed to animate the character making a reaction while walking. Since the character was one I created and the scene had only a small part for the character, I was given the freedom to set the duration and decide how many keyframes I needed to create.
For this scene, the editor asked me to create a 3/4 face reaction of the character in a state of sadness and despair directed at the male character. This is one of my favorite scenes because I put in exaggerated reactions to fully convey the character's emotions.
In this scene, I faced the challenge of creating the 'effect in between keyframes,' where typically, in-betweeners are given just one keyframe to work with for motion effects. Here, I was asked to animate the flow of water, which took me two days to get it just right. In the end, however, the editor only used a few of the keyframes I created and turned them into background illustrations for the animation. They then helped me adjust the timeline and the water's motion.

This is the last in-between in this project, where I was asked to animate the character clenching their fist as if they had a new hope to achieve.
This animation tells the story of a male character who gives hope to his friend not to give up. However, his friend wastes his life by giving his heart to another woman. The male character initially feels hopeless but later realizes that he, too, has hope, just like the moon that never tires of appearing at night to light up the darkness, even in times when there seems to be no hope.
