IKAN LAGENDA 2023
Ikan Lagenda was my solo final-year project during my diploma studies. I created the backgrounds using Clip Studio Paint, animated the project in Adobe Animate, and completed the editing and post-production in DaVinci Resolve 18.
This is part of the storyboard for the Hope project, where the editor asked me to come up with ideas on how to convey the message visually without using dialogue in a short timeframe. As a result, some rough sketches were created and approved for inclusion in the project.
This was the very first simple animation assigned by the editor, where I only needed to make the character move slightly.
I was asked to design a female character for the story. The editor requested a simple design to portray the character as the possible cause of destruction in the narrative. However, my design was accepted because it had a unique touch, especially in how I used colors and a design style that subtly mirrored the male character in the Hope project.

This is a scene where I needed to animate the character making a reaction while walking. Since the character was one I created and the scene had only a small part for the character, I was given the freedom to set the duration and decide how many keyframes I needed to create.
This animation tells the story of a male character who gives hope to his friend not to give up. However, his friend wastes his life by giving his heart to another woman. The male character initially feels hopeless but later realizes that he, too, has hope, just like the moon that never tires of appearing at night to light up the darkness, even in times when there seems to be no hope.
